Willow Valley is hiring a Arborist to be responsible for the maintenance and care of trees, particularly as it pertains to their proper trimming, thinning, and removal.

Wage:

• From $25.00/hr + based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Applies proper tree and shrub pruning techniques.
• Evaluates trees to determine level of care needed.
• Climbs trees using a rope and seat to safely trim them.
• Utilizes proper knots for all tree climbing and let-down work.
• Understands the proper use of pruning tools, including: pole saw, pole clip, hand saw, chainsaw, chipper, blower and small dump truck.
• Performs tree trimming by lifting, clearing, thinning, heading, and felling.
• Maintains pruning equipment.
• Reviews status of work planned and in progress with immediate team leader.
• Processes invoices to be paid in a timely manner.
• Assists grounds staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and one year related experience and training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hours:

• 40 hrs/week

• 7:00am-3:30pm
